Meet Denise Lee Douglas, Broker
Let’s start out with where I grew up. I grew up on a small farm and went to school in Central Kentucky. “Go Cats”. Over 20 years ago I moved to Knoxville and married my husband Steve. I spent the majority of my professional career in corporate America working in enterprise sales and product marketing at Verizon and American Express, as an individual contributor and manager. I believe those years in contract negotiations with many large companies allow me to leverage those skills of contract negotiation and marketing to give our clients an edge over others when selling a home or looking to purchase a home. I also own the UPS Store in Hardin Valley which gives me experience in owning a small business. I joined Astute Realty for two reasons. I prefer a boutique type of brokerage to my clients. I also wanted a brokerage firm with many years of experience designed to be one-stop for our clients’ needs. The fact that Kristi Dunlap has many years of experience as well as being a licensed general contractor was the tipping point for me as a real estate professional.
On a personal level, I try to stay involved in the community. I serve on the board at Girls Scouts of Southern Appalachia, Spark (formally ETTAC), Knox County Rescue Squad, and Girlfriends Giving back. I am part of the fundraising committee for the Knoxville Heart Ball and support nonprofits including Second Harvest of East Tennessee, Tennessee Children’s Home, West High School. Hardin Valley Academy, Coalition Against Human Trafficking and Pellissippi College.
Steve and I have three boys, Colin, Austin, and Noah. We tailgate for all the UT football games and love golf. You can get more details about my professional experience at https://www.linkedin.com/in/denise-lee-douglas-3357538/
